75? You realize you’re on a forum for professional mariners, correct? As freighterman said, 75 year olds on deck is generally not going to work, plus average life expectancy is 78.4… Beyond that, you need a path for the next generation to move up.

(Or lack of compulsory savings for a pension)
Or the type of life they live. I had an electrician who listed the SIU as his next of kin. I also had a guy who blew his payoff at the casino shortly, like hours after he got paid. Making another trip was his only real option.
plus all the people over 100 to one person over 300 years old still on social security
