He probably is referring to the Marcellus Shale which extends from Kentucky all the way up into Ontario. It’s primarily a dry gas play. Offshore drilling will never happen in the lakes.

I heard the Canadians just passed a bill allowing drilling in the lakes but vessel operators are required to have multiple DUIs.
