Just to update…
Still waiting around. Every turn I have taken has lead me to a dead end. NMC doesn’t know what I am talking about, and CMA says they are not allowed (by the coast guard) to print certifications for RADAR etc. any longer. Additionally, it seems that there are other cadets from CMA that are beginning to have this same problem… Something fishy is going on here!
Haha, sorry don’t mean to laugh, but this is such typical CMA bull. As if they didn’t jerk you around enough while you were there, they’re gonna mess with you even after you graduate. Those admin/office people are on a whole different level. If you had a close relationship with any of the guys that have been there a while- Weinstock, Schmid, Lintz, Messer, see if you can get in touch with them, they may have more luck getting attention than you. Per the USCG list I just Googled up, As of 07 Oct 2009 the following school is an approved school for RADAR:

Was you training so different from what is taught in the “continuing education” class? I susspect not. They can print you a cert if they want to…

They can NOT just print a certificate. Continuing Educatuion is not the same approved training as the cadet program, you may have noticed immediately preceding this entry was one for the cadet program. The certificates must come from the cadet program. Schools just can’t print ceritificates at will. It is a certificate of course completion, it certifies completion of a specific course on a specific date.
I was really just agreeing with you Mr Cavo, on Oct 13 you wrote: “Contact CMA and get a radar certificate, and tell them all of your classmates need one also. Since the Coast Guard is no longer putting expiration dates for the radar observer endorsement on the MMC, you need that certificate…” So now your saying they can’t print the Certificate?

Actually, NO, it’s not there, at least not on the one for 07 Oct 2009. So, hay maybe CMA isn’t approved any more??
Well, whatever, I’ve got my RADAR Cert.
Would like to thank Mr. Cavo for clearing this matter up. Am now able to sit in the hall for jobs! I also thank Mr. Cavo on behalf of all the other cadets from CMA who were possibly in the same position and now can be printed radar certs so they can ship with MM&P as well!
