Yes, in the North Sea in the winter, with a 15 degr, blind sector on Stbd. bow on the dodgy radar. (3rd Off, 1964-65)
In Indonesia and South Pacific, (1967- 74) Even with no radar and no DF signals.
As Master, (1971-72) S’pore - East Indonesia. No communication with office for weeks.(Only MF radio)
