Any chatter about sending the new NSMVs down to the hurricane-stricken areas to provide support to locals and our rescue/recovery forces responding? I understand we aren’t in the best government position in terms of funding because of the shutdown (even if it effects this mission), but maybe a possibility for the vessels to stretch their legs? Thoughts?

Sure, that was the design purpose of the ships. But I highly doubt you’ll see them deployed.
