No, in this order: Alcohol, tequila, patron.

Argo, from what I hear the pay is high but not monetary in nature

I want to know why a Chief Mate would want a 3rd Mate Job. Are you being completely honest with us. It is an alternative lifestyle cruise…isn’t it? Man, it’s the new millenium, you can come out now.

Lee…Lee…Lee…you need help my brotha. Some people work on vessels because they like it, not because it’s perscribed as a means to fight pedophilia urges (just stay away from Disney Cruise lines). Azipods and 150,000 gross tons is enough to attract most professionals.

.

If azipods get boring that means that you’re not a shiphandler, which is typical of those that rather be on an oil rig working those12 hr days bumping into those sweaty 250lb Frank’s casing crew guys in the passageways…I can see the contrast there…a cruiseship would never work.

.

Anchordude,

Hey… we like our Frank’s chunky

Leeah,

Why wouldn’t a chief mate want a 3/m job? …except for the money.

as being involved with the ships live , one who wanna contunie his life in seabase in a long base basis can consider to be in a ferries as being a 3/m or 2nd /m becouse working in a passenger ship is highly motivated work need to be done as I have been considered to safety of passenger and liveson the passenger. As a C/O working in trading general cargo or tanker ships even a person have bn served as master can consider b4 attaneding as a c/o position instead to attaned 3/m or 2m . That shl notbe a critacl disgussion matter since a person think abt the difficult side of working in the traditional merchant ships fleet with a crew of 10-19 person by having a very limit socialinteraction. When a person consider to work long period sea live in his career being on a pessenger ship is an advantage with respect of social angle. Ofcourse on the other hand when a person wanna secure his life in shore base he ll think to obtain as much as he get the higher income asap and will attaned always better paid jobs. Life is short and everybody care abt their time as money and marginal profit are the main objectives.
