Gerald Jakubowski is stepping down as president of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to become provost of the California Maritime Academy in Vallejo, Calif.
He’ll assume his new duties July 1, according to a Cal Maritime news release. Jakubowski was appointed to his new post by Cal Maritime President William B. Eisenhardt after an eight-month national search.
“We are pleased that Dr. Jakubowski has decided to join us in our continued efforts to be a leading institution in trade, transportation and engineering on the Pacific rim,” Eisenhardt stated. “His professional experiences and positions of leadership in higher education and engineering fit our institution well. We look forward to his contributions to the academy.”
