That sounds awesome. Aboard the Sixth Fleet flagship, get to hang out in Italy when you in port and have free time… what could be sweeter?
Hopefully, the events in Ukraine won’t pull the Mount Whitney into the fray. Praying for your safety.
Thanks for the prayer
Went to Long Beach Ca Coast Guard station and tested 2 days ago. Took the Fireman/ Watertender, Oiler, Refridgeration Engineer, Machinist, and Unlicensed Engineer exams. Passed all 5 and am awaiting my MMC to be mailed out. If one studies, works hard, and has a litte luck, good things can happen. Everyone stay safe and thanks for all the words of encouragment. Hopefully I will be sailing as UJE of Dech Machinist soon.
Congrats, Madvac! Bravo Zulu!
I’m wondering about the 4-months ON cycle. If your ship is in it’s Homeport, does the Crew always stay onboard, or do you get to go home at the end of the work day during those 4-months?
