Yes, I thought then as now. The middle east is only the business of the oil companies. Let them shovel money there if they care so much. It is none of the US taxpayers business. If there was no oil there no one would give a damn. To understand the US foreign policy all you have to do is follow the money. Now if the taxpayer got some of the oil companies profits maybe I could understand but all the taxpayer does is foot the bill for the wars and send their gullible kids off to die.
