0904 GMT 9 Nov [Dow Jones] AP Moller-Maersk’s (MAERSK-B.KO) container shipping segment surprises on the upside in 3Q, and the company’s raised guidance for 2012 net profit of $3.7 billion is positive, says Jyske Bankanalyst Frans Hoyer. He previously expected 2012 net profit of $3 billion. The group had previously forecast a result slightly above last year’s level of $3.4 billion. “Though the top line was a bit weak, cost level was better than expected,” Mr. Hoyer adds. “The company said oil and gas delivered a good result, but it could have been better,” he note. Shares trade 2.1% higher at DKK40,560.
