M/V DOVER released from pirate control and safe in Salalah

B Following payment of a ransom, the M/V DOVER, which was pirated on 28 February 2011 approximately 260 nautical miles North East of Salalah in the Arabian Sea, has been released from pirate control off the coast of Somalia on 30 September. The ship arrived today in the port of Salalah (Oman).

M/V DOVER is Panamanian flagged and Greek owned. It was transiting from Saleef (Yemen) from Port Quasim (Pakistan) when it was attacked. The Bulk Cargo Carrier has a crew of 23 (3 Romanian, 1 Russian and 19 Filipinos).
