I did a little searching - what the news articles all said (apparently quoting Hurtigruten) “no serious injuries”. I’m not sure where “serious” cuts off, but I would think that broken bones would qualify
. I would suspect the rather normal rumor mill in exaggerating the outcome, and I suspect that the passengers did not get much chance to learn more detail about their fellow passengers’ difficulties. Based on the accounts, I would suspect mostly cuts & bruises (especially among the more senior passengers).
Hello. You seem to have missed the point of my comment.
Believe news articles that you read or believe the people who were there.
I’m still in touch with one person who had to have surgery to repair a broken foot and was off work for 6 months. I have photos of crew holding bloodied shredded hands. I sat with an elderly gentleman who lost the skin off one hand and a lady who had a bloodied nose and black eye from a flying pepper mill.
You’ve only read the company PR - and foolishly believed it.
I’ll show your posts to the other passengers. Our survivors group is still active. We are very fed up with speculative comments from people who weren’t there.
Feel free to post the pictures you have of the passengers and their experiences here! I’m all for corroborating evidence of claims ![]()
