Maybe the Navy didn’t want to take the risk with management and crewing mistakes. Like critical parts inventories and shit like that.
or maybe the Navee wanted to give a great gift to HOS with HOS’s prodding of course. Why the HELL didn’t the Navee make HOS take a cut in what they receive to operate these vessles now that the Navee owns them? Why do they get $25k/day each if HOS has no capital expense? It should be between $10k and $12k a day! HOS would still make a profit on that unless they are paying their people way more than in the GoM? Why should HOS get more than $3k/day profit? Remember the Navee pays all consumables and maintenance costs, not HOW.
BTW, C.Capt…that boat NEVER gets underway, they have been sitting at the dock getting paid and drinking beer once 4:30:01pm hits everyday since mid October.
let’s keep this thread about the sub escorts and not about the boats ECO charters to the Navee. There is a new vessel contract coming to the West Coast for a vessel to tend the SSRV…I imagine that one is going to get some competition for that one. Lots of surplus vessels these days. Maybe that is why the ROSS CHOUEST in in San Francisco to show it to the Navee and be ready to pounce.
