whale sharks were a little late this year or if the weather has finally permitted more of the fishing community to get offshore. There have also been reports of aggregations observed, which is great news as well. This post is to thank the contributors, serve as a gentle reminder to those folks offshore, and inform newcomers to the forum.
The University of Southern Mississippi’s Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) Whale Shark Sighting Survey is still collecting data on whale shark distribution in the northern Gulf of Mexico.
