Football World Cup for teams is over

The Club World Cup in football (Soccer to Americans) has just been completed in Miami, Fl. with a 3-0 win for Chelsea FT over PSG after a farcical final and trophy parading ceremony:

This is what a "Guest of honour is supposed to do:

Then leave the winning team to celebrate, not try to hog the limelight.

The infantile President has lusted after a winner’s trophy ever since his boss, V. Putin, stole one of Bob Kraft’s Super Bowl Rings. So he kept the one that FIFA brought to the WH for a photo op in March.

Feh. Anyone neutral couldn’t give a ####. If you like football, you are not neutral. In my case, my current 2d and 3d favorite clubs both won.

Does anyone else feel like that article was written in another language? I was wondering if I had a stroke or something.

I’m pretty sure it was written in Klingon but my internet is pretty slow right now & Google couldn’t translate for me.

It was written in Norwegian (Google translation)
PS> I was wondering too.

Not only your internet that is slow, me think.
It maybe a surprise to you that there are people in the world that know more than one language.

There are good reasons to learn two or more languages:

Here is an article written in American English about the incident at the Club World Cup and the future World Cup for nations to be staged in North America:

Sports commentators worry about the “Trumpification” of soccer ahead of next year’s World Cup. Rights groups are concerned about how international fans will be treated.

If WaPo is not your your favourit news source, here is more, from a more “reliable” source:

Dang it! That first linked article was in Klingon & I didn’t understand a word of it. Then the latest were written in TDS Liberal Speak which is a sub-dialect of the American English language where the subject & everything else is required to be fixated on Donald Trump for some reason?

I wish it wasn’t, but it is hard to find anything in the news that doesn’t have a Trump angle to it. Even sport is now infested by his presence
