Food For Peace

Spoken like a true eugenecist. Cull the human herd by starving the useless eaters. You should be ashamed of such ideas but you proudly spout them in public. Crucifiction?

Coal fired power stations could help here.

But Noooooooooooooo. That could warm the planet a poofteenth in a century. The IMF specifically bans money for things that actually work like coal fired power which could provide lights and cooking for villagers. They might approve a solar panel, but nothing that relieves the destitution of the needy.

Your plan? Let ā€˜em die.

Probably because Americans can afford to. But remember you make more resources than others too. You make things that others want to buy. The magic of capitalism is that shortage of ā€˜resources’ is overcome by innovation to provide alternatives.

Everyone hyperventilating about rich people greedily using up all the resources is just sanctimonious sillyness.

How about Americans get hyperventilating about the wasted resources now being uncovered by DOGE. $billions wasted, possibly $trillions. But that’s ok? It’s ending up in the pockets of politicians, bureaucrats, NGOs and their factotums.

I love the ā€˜lungs of the earth’ name for the Amazon. So poetic. Who made that up? Seriously. That’s gold right there. Makes me want to sing Kumbaya. But of course it’s utterly and completely WRONG.
The Amazon is a carbon sink, sure. It’s not an oxygen supplier.

So, the Amazon is about neutral in terms of oxygen consumption/production.
Plant growth is oxygen intensive. And at night, guess what plants consume?

Seriously, guys… FFS nobody intelligent has believed this crap for 25 years. It’s flat earth stuff. What the F are they teaching at the maritime colleges you guys went to?
We can’t afford to be this stupid and repeat lies.

Now, Diatoms, a phytoplankton, generate 20-50% of all global oxygen, at least in theory. The oxygen we breathe, just like all life on earth, comes from the oceans, where life started.

FFS Maybe stop repeating emotive catchphrases blindly… consider that there may be other things you know to be true that absolutely are not. Science isn’t religion. There are no sacred cows.

I get it. Save da erf. You just care SO HARD, right? But not hard enough to ask questions.
Stop showing your ass.

What will be done to manage population growth to return Planet Earth to a sustainable population size? Absolutely nothing.

The population will continue to grow until it reaches a breaking point and natural events: global warming, famine, and disease cause a catastrophic collapse in the population.

What is a catastrophic collapse? 25% to 90% of the human population dying within a few years.

When could that happen? That’s impossible to know. Within the next 100 years? Possibly.

A population of 20 billion dropping to 2 billion within 5 years?

A planet no longer capable of sustaining a large population for hundreds of years? Possibly.

It is cheaper to print cash than grow crops, cash takes up less space and moves faster, Kleptocrats find it easier to hide cash than bags of grain, Swiss banks don’t like to store rice in their vaults.

Don’t under estimate our ability & desire to kill our fellow man. As our technology grows, so does our ability to do such things. A push of a button, an escaped vial from a lab somewhere or just not intervening in some machete swinging contest in Africa. Imo, population will continue to grow until it doesn’t.

Isn’t that now the official policy of your hero?
Stop aid to starving people in the rest of the world. Use the money saved to compensate US farmers for their loss of business instead.

That boat doesn’t float. Trump doesn’t give a rat’s ass about farmers, they have dirty shoes and don’t always smell good.

Farmers?

Who is the biggest farmer in the US? I believe it’s Bill Gates. At least I’ve heard that he is the biggest farm land owner in the US.

As I recall, some years ago the government did a sort by zip code to see where the agricultural subsidy checks where going: about half them were going to Manhattan and Beverly Hills.

The Department of Agriculture and agricultural subsidy checks should be eliminated. The whole system is unnecessary and rotten to the core.

No. Where did you hear that?

Trump isn’t stopping aid to starving people. He’s stopping graft and corruption to American deep state operatives funneled through USAID to others first and then circling back to Washington insiders.

He’s checking where the politicians and their staffers got to be millionaires whilst in office despite more modest salaries. Can you explain how these people suddenly became millionaires?

Can you explain $trillions in unaccounted for Medicaid or social security payments. Who are all these 150+ year old recipients of social security cashing cheques regularly? Who are the lucky thousands over the age of 200 getting and cashing their cheques?

Sort that out and you’ll have much more to dish out to starving people in real need.

State the Trump policy that lets people starve. Give examples. Compare to the homeless in America and excrement covered streets of San Francisco or Detroit and other Democratic Party strongholds for decades. Maybe pressure up a few dry fire hydrants in the Pallisades?

I tremble at the suggestion that you or some elite somewhere will ā€œmanage the populationā€. How? Like China’s one child policy? Didn’t work. A nice pandemic or two? World war would cut the numbers. Stir up an internecine conflict within tribal nations. It’s all been tried … deliberately, and you eugenecists still lose as populations grow.

Population growth is managed by capitalism. Growing wealth and health reduce the natural desire for larger families to provide sustenance for the parents in later years. This has happened in the western capitalist world whilst less developed societies continue to grow.

Population will peak in due course and naturally flatten as the incentive for children as economic units abates with prosperity.

Of course that’s where the billionaire farm land owners financial offices are located. All perfectly legal. Just as Musk complains about waste he collects millions upon millions in subsidies and pays very little tax. There’s an old article from 2021 that explains some this. Again all legal because that’s the way they had congress set things up over decades. Presidents of both parties happily signed off on this. One of many reasons I don’t believe president Musk and his ilk have the average wage earners’ best interest in mind while they are looking for ā€˜waste’ and firing Inspector Generals. They’ll gut the SEC next so watch out for your 401k and IRA.

A totally corrupted campaign funding system. A scam called ā€œCitizens Unitedā€ which is a funnel for corporate capture of the political process. Legalization of bribes to candidates and elected officials.

Ask Senator Rick Scott: ā€œDuring his tenure as chief executive, the company defrauded Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal programs. The U.S. Department of Justice won 14 felony convictions against the company, which was fined $1.7 billion in what was at the time the largest healthcare fraud settlement in U.S. history.ā€

So that accounts for Nancy Pelosi’s $millions? Kamala’s? Biden’s? … all of them.

If Yellowstone wakes up after 750,000 years that will sort out the planet. Then there is another asteroid hit. I teach an astronomy class and there is nothing like it to inform the participants on how tenuous life on earth is.
