Fishing vessel Geo Searcher sinks

A fishing vessel belonging to a Cape Town fishing company had a fishing license from Tristan da Cunha. She also served as the only vessel bringing supplies and pax to Tristan da Cunha.

She was on an expedition to catch Rock Lobster when she hit a rock off Gough Island and sunk:

All 62 people on board were saved. They will be picked up and brought back to Cape Town by the SA Research Vessel Agulhas II:
