but it is the forum section of which I speak. with a vast majority constituency of American mariners, why is it wrong that the forum be pro American maritime. We are the contributors and the readers. If a few foreign nationals are reading the forum and do not like the pro USA slant then they can go find a foreign based forum to read and contribute to if there are such out there. I do not go looking for them myself because I am not highly interested in the views of foreign mariners (even though we are brothers of the sea) it is just that their world view and mine do not coincide in most areas.
I have called many times for an American professional mariners association and by the simple fact that the forum has become a defacto meeting place for US citizen mariners, it is as close as we have such an association to at least exchange ideas on what we can do as a collective to improve our industry. I would like to think that someday John would use his “Bully Pulpit” to be the foundation to creating and leading such an association and thus I call over and over for him to do this for US! Please? I will fly in the righthand seat to you John but you need to be the pilot in command. Let’s get this baby off the ground!
