Alright, now I’m starting to get there!
So, you pull a foot of water out of the top of the pipe. If that empty space wasn’t contained in the pipe, surrounding sea water would rush in and fill the space.
Since it’s in a pipe, the empty space is filled from the bottom because that 1 foot empty space would cause less pressure in the pipe.
So for the most part you just need a flow rate to match the leak and some extra suction PSI to make up for friction in the pipe (50 PSI)?
Or have I gone too far the other way?
