Exactly - post the TOP Kill, Closing the well was, according to Kent, totally off the agenda. Suddenly the mini BOP appeared and they let it gush, pending “closing in the well”. Then, just 1 hour after Kent told us it was all systems go, they got cold feet again and everything, is on hold.
Meanwhile BOTTOM kill is on stop. Top collection is a fraction of what it was, just when the systems have arrived to process 100% of what was coming out.
Flip/flop/Flip. I just don’t see that they have the information to be able to start to close down and confidently know which of the 3 paths, I previously identified, they are progressing down. The tolerance bands asside each “ideal” trace probably overlap each other significantly. Only 1 option offers an advantage to the BOTTOM Kill and that is the total well closure. The other two are just risk options on obtaining data that is not vital to BOTTOM kill. If total closure is now a significant possibility, please explain why top kill failed and was attempted in the first place. I want some informed Journo to ask Kent some proper questions, not ask him if he has a sharpener for his pencil as the Journo forgot his !
3 or 4 days of hype over this mini BOP has made their share price change direction. Paper values may have changed due to manipulation, but real life hasn’t changed at all. A relief well is still needed.
