Ok, don’t know if anyone is still around… but I found a great tidbit on another thread. Scurvydog has posted pix of the intervention hardware being developed. In a nutshell he/she says that the riser flange is going to be unbolted above the flex joint and an adapter spool piece installed. A small BOP is going to be installed above that. They won’t communicate the intervention well with the wild well until this hardware is installed. There are pix of this hardware and a [B]flex joint simulator with two simulated drill pipe stubs in it. [/B]So BP is certain it is two drill pipe and not a casing up through the flex joint squashed in a figure 8 as some suspected, opined by scurvydog.
