If no leaks exist, and BP are wrong, then migration of nitrogen could have occurred. Check with Halliburton that the bonding of nitrogen could have been an issue, and that break-out could have occurred. If the casing was ejected before the displacement this is an even bigger issue.
Nothing is final on this well. Be careful not to get his hopes up until enough evidence is available.
