Deepwater Horizon - Transocean Oil Rig Fire
Thank you Corky. I don’t care if this company is head quartrered in Europe, Asia, or wherever. What does concern me is that they are an international conglomerate that has no allegiance to any government or citizens anywhere in the world. They have now at least taken responsibility for some of their actions. I wonder if they will man up & take responsibilty for all of their actions which led to this disaster or if they have formulated a game plan to throw the company man under the bus by himself. It is very plain & apparent that he was following instructions from his office. It is plain to see that his chain of command was in control & called the shots while he was out there & while he wasn’t. It is plain to see THEY made decisions to take the “shortcuts” otherwise known as devieation from industry & company standards which led to this. It is very plain to see that the hiding of key evidence from congress, the misinformation, the lack of transparancy, the unwillingness to cooperate with the EPA. The lack of response to local & state leaders on the spill containment & clean up, the dog & pony clean up shows which preceed the President’s arrival to areas affected by the spill, & the continual downplaying of impact & the long term effects of having to deal with this are all being orchestrated by BPs operating officers at the highest level. As ALCOR even admitted, Tony is in control.
Have to agree with you there. Seems like you & I had this conversation on . . . . oh I don’t know, maybe the 22nd or 23rd of April regarding the fact that in the industry which exists today, the comapny man does not just decide to deviate from the well plan all by his lonesome. With real-time MWD streaming to the corporate hive, if he did his phone would be ringing in about 2 minutes & unless he had some REALLY good answers his relief would be on a chopper headed to the rig about an hour after that.
