After working on small freighters and tugs for 20 years, with 5 of those years as a cook/deckhand, I thought I might see if anyone was looking for help, advice, menu plans etc… My experience is based on cooking for crews of 6 to 8 people, and watching others cook (or try to cook) for crew…

We just bought one at home. Trying to talk boat into one. Fries are still better in oil, but they work pretty well.

The one we have does an OK job on crumbed food and guilt free fries but you can’t beat beer battered fries and fish or tempura seafood done in a fryer when the supreme commander is absent.

Hah! At home it is the opposite. My supreme commander likes her fried food. . . me? I like but eat it sparingly. Not that anyone can tell. . . .

There are some things that just can’t be duplicated. Battered fried fish/seafood is at the top of the list.
