Hello! May I ask the windage area for the windload calculation for a cargo on barge? Shouldn’t be consider the freeboard area? Please enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

is this a question related to dynamic position or just a wind load calculation?
DP systems have this data inbuilt for the vessel only
( saying that some DP jackup wind farm vessels that always have same load added have deck load buttons to add the wind area in the DP system)
