What is the story on Westar? Do they only work in the bay? How many boats? Boat type and quality? Which Union, if any? Wage rates? Schedule? What are they like to work for?

Companies should post real information here. We are Mariners after all. If you want to fill a job, post the real details.

I worked on there boats while going to school years ago. Mostly construction work was their fortay. They do some escort work for fuel barges in the bay I know. Back then they were Union. Equipment well they have a website so you can see pictures, I’ll just say we had duct-tape onboard.

I know a couple guys that worked there. I heard they are in seattle too. They made it sound like a stepping stone company. On call, feast or famine. Think I remember them saying they were MMP.
