Kyrpos Land is sitting in the Chesapeake east of the channel at about 90 degrees to the normal traffic direction. Ships do not normally anchor there and I was not close enough to see if she is anchored or just stuck. Does anyone know what is up with her? (heading not accurate, right now she is pointed southwest more or less)
They seem to have got unstuck or got their engine going, they moved south of the bridge with the pilot boat following.
According to Marinetraffic she has a draft of 7.7m. (25.3ft)
The chart shows 47ft. of water, so not aground.
They got going on their own and the pilot boat isn’t a tug, so you are correct. Probably had an engine issue to sort out.
