Joey Fisher awarded DP Committee’s Distinguished Achievement Award
M3 Marine heartily congratulates Joey Fisher, Managing Director, M3 Marine Expertise, on being awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award, by the DP Committee at the MTS DP Conference held recently in Houston, Texas.This award recognises the important work done by Joey to improve dynamic positioning safety and for his long-standing support of the work of the DP committee. Joey Fisher started his career as an engineer cadet on oil tankers in 1993. After moving to an offshore DP diving support and construction vessel in 1998, he developed an interest in DP FMEAs and a passion for DP safety. He became a Chief Engineer in 2003 and subsequently worked as project engineer and manager for new build diving ROV and support vessels.In 2010, Joey joined M3 Marine Expertise in Singapore as the company’s first DP / technical consultant and has since helped to grow the company to become internationally recognized as a reputable DP FMEA and DP assurance provider. He is an advocate of best practice and has a passion for continual improvement of DP FMEA’s

He is a member of MTS DP Sub Committee for Guidance and Standards and the IMCA Marine DP Committee. He devotes much of his spare time to assisting with the development and review of DP guidelines and has completed important work in the pursuit of improving DP safety. Joey is also the Chairman of the DP Asia Technical Committee and through his stewardship he has helped to bring the DP community together across Southeast Asia and bring about increased awareness of the MTS DP Committee’s work. This has undoubtedly helped improve DP safety in the region.
