Advice needed: How to remove exhaust soot on bulkheads

You are an entertaining and wise fellow. We would have got along quite well had we sailed together. Please continue to share your experiences, they are priceless. It may awake my feeble mind. Again, I know you from somewhere, will hopefully figure it out in due time. I may forget names, but never the genuine person.

Use a cleaner called Awesome, available in Dollar Stores (in Florida, anyway). Works on soot awesomely!

“Awesome” does clean a lot of stuff. Don’t know about soot. Bought it in Virginia years ago at a dollar store. Don’t know what’s in it, reminds me of when 409 came out, way back when. Only stronger. Spray, rinse ,repeat.

If you ever read the MSD on it you would see it contains an orange oil blend not unlike Citri-Clean.

Never read the MSD before. Thx for the info. I know it cleans a lot of shit. For a buck, I’m in. My golf clubs sparkle. My game is not as clean as my clubs. LOL

Oven cleaner

Seriously… it takes soot off like it was never there.

Also Simple Green. Apply, walk away. Better on your lungs, smells good and eco friendly.
