Jesus, 70k as an OS??? Why the hell did I waste all the time becoming an AB/Tankerman??
250-350 a day
I would say thats a little high. An experienced AB up in the NYC area might make 300+ a day, but around here normal AB starting pay is around 200 or so, ABs with less experience will likely get less than that. If I were you I would shoot for a 200 a day rate for now, if you can find better then thats great but dont hold out for a 300 a day AB job on a tugboat with fishing boat only experience, there are to many very experienced guys on the beach for you to get that. Good luck.

Not unreasonable. Roughnecks make about that and they don’t need a MMD.

GOM now pays 300$ a day for AB OSV w/ rigger only… From my opinion, If you getting below that, its time to look a much better company.
If you can document the sea time, then yes it will count towards any rating or license.

Then she has her AB and would probably have been sailing as that, not OS.
