Been a boat builder since I was 16, built a 37-foot cutter at 19 and singlehanded it from the Marquesas to Hawaii in 1976, am now happily married for 22 years to my best friend. She and I and our 3 kids build boats for a living on our property in Hawaii, and sail and commercial fish for fun.
