Why high speed diesels instead of medium speed?

EPA T4 does not exist below 600kw. IMO III is 130KW and up so there is a space for the generator sets from 130kw-600kw where people have to go third party for the SCR system if they want EPA3 and IMO III… I know Crowley went aftermarket SCR/DPF on handful of their most recent atb’s smller gensets…For the propulsion engines 600kw-5000kw CAT, Cummins, MTU, Mitsubishi all have options and end up fitting. Are they ideal, no but do they fit… usually… GE does T4/IMOIII with EGR and no aftertreatment system

Show us the list of systems and their aftermarket suppliers. Who manufactured and/or supplied those systems? Who certified them? The devil is in the details.
