The problem is those records were MSC, not MSC.

Of course not but it was my understanding that they were the lowest pay and thus can be expected to be the last filled. If that’s not the case now, I welcome new knowledge.

When you have a bottom scraping contact ANY change in the labor market will immediately put your contract as non competitive. With shore side wages going up due to inflation my guess is that a lot of ABs are now ashore doing other things.

This year a couple of their contracts received pretty hefty raises to bring it more in line with the other shipping companies.
Having sailed with an OS who took a job, he was not presented with the most recent contract, “it wasn’t on the table.”
I get this is anecdotal, but if true the Union isn’t doing itself any favors by not pushing out this information.
