The war and the closure of the Strait is definitely making some mariners lives miserable. Whether they fear from being seized by either U.S. or Iran depending on flag, cargo, and destination, or if they are just stymied by a closed Strait, forced to wait for an indefinite period of time. It very much reminds me of the mariners trapped on ships during COVID. Sailing is hard work under normal conditions. Feeling trapped on a ship that is going no where for who knows how long sucks.
