What is the throttling of suction valve in the pump and for what purpose it is done and why it is avoided ?

Throttling the suction will cause cavitation and rapid pump wear.
Since you have internet connection you should just Google your question and it will take you to many subject manufacturer sites and provide a universe of technical information. All you will get here is anecdotes.
Half of what makes a good engineer is knowing where to look for answers.

To make long answers short - do not throttle the suction valve of a centrifugal pump. Throttle the discharge valve if necessary and watch the pump body probably getting warm. That should be all .
