Lived in San Francisco for 40 years. I have seen it first-hand. In SF they don’t hide anything graft and corruption is obvious

I’m in VXX at 33.99 with half of my total available short position open. I won’t chase it from here, but rather intend to pile on when we see some downward velocity 
This trade certainly isn’t dependent upon TACO to work, but I am sort of counting on it to make things move quicker.

one year post “liberation day” I had a decent year. I wasn’t gonna trade but then the tariffs hit and the VIX was high. looks like we’re due for our annual Trump slump.
Nice. Closed my VXX short today. My main trading trick is to sell puts on a good but beaten down stock. Right now it’s ORCL. I’ve sold puts with a 130 strike. Expecting the options to expire worthless next week. Premium in my pocket. Then rinse, lather, and repeat.
Last month it was DELL. I ended getting long the stock, but then quickly called away the next month on the covered calls I sold. Also a 130 strike price. That deal took a total of 4.5 months to close.

Knowing the US is a subsidiary of the industry I bought that a year after it was available. Knowing the ‘defense’ industry and their lackey’s that run the congress have been raping the US taxpayers for decades and realizing the government was getting ready to get even more criminal in robbing from the middle class to give to the rich I thought it was a no brainer. If I am going to get screwed I might as well get paid for it.
My 2026 goal was to only trade 1256 contracts at 45ish DTE. I’ve stuck to 1256 but the dte has changed from overnight tweet risk.
The theta side of trading is great. I get too attached to my shares though so I swore off covered calls.
To be clear, in my case, I never wanted to be long with DELL. But I was prepared to accept it as my worst-case scenario. The covered calls were for the same price that I was put to.
Also, I’m scared right now 
Not betting on volatility today.

sold my S&P index fund when Biden got elected bought treasuries mutual funds knowing the the democrats spend money. might as well own the printing press, treasuries have been as high as 7%
If you think Democrats spend money take a look at the Republicans! They make Democrats look like misers. Inflation is the driver of treasuries and Covid drove inflation during Biden’s term and was slowly brought under control by the Fed which Trump wants to take over. Splendid idea, have a head of the Fed taking orders from a convicted felon found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records, with a record of multiple bankruptcies

Yes a real Hellscape has orange man created. Having sealed the borders, freed energy production from the regulation jungle, leveled the trading landscape with tariffs despite the deep state’s best efforts, dramatically reduced crime in large urban centers and actually starting deporting the 10-20 million invading migrant hordes that self loathing Ameica hating WOKE, criminal loving racists as yourself have fantasized about to replace us and yourself has been a real bummer hasn’t it? You especially enjoyed the racist and transgender brainwashing and chemical castration and sterilization of the nation’s schoolchildren as well didn’t you? You enjoyed the windmills and solar farms to further the energy deficit we already are living with. You miss the mass censureship, shaddowbanning, and the actual Fascist weaponized state is what you yearn for. Since leftists loath themselves, (especially if one is of European extraction) and our society, the only honorable thing to do is escape this hellscape by emigrating overseas and promise never to return.

In the mornings I go on SM and try to convince my Seattle neighbors to increase incarceration rates in the state by about 9%, and institute a zero-tolerance policy for crime, including felony charges for graffiti. I provide figures for how much this would cost, and where the money would come from.
I advocate doubling the size of our city police force. I provide figures for how that cost would be supported.
In the mornings, on SM, I try to convince my Seattle neighbors that unrestricted support of homeless people in the city simply encourages more homeless from other states to move here. I advocate that public support of the homeless be restricted only to county (no ‘r’) residents, and all others be deported to their state or county of origin.
At the same time, I support the deportation of illegals, not because I think they hurt the economy, but because the law is the law. I tell my Seattle neighbors: You can’t demand the president be imprisoned for breaking the law (as I believe he has) and then condone people who come into the country illegally. If you break the law there must be a consequence. So, deport the illegals (and lock up the president).
For this and more, some of my Seattle neighbors call me a MAGA fascist
And then in the afternoon I get on SM and deal with @Memel and @Jughead, who call me a Godless communist.
I want to thank you all for confirming what I had hoped: I am indeed an Independent centrist, so far from the outrage-addicted extremists on either side of the political spectrum that they don’t even know what a ‘center’ is.
A friendly observation: my BP is about 99 over 65. It’s a sweet place to live. Maybe give it a try?
