Hello! I am trying to put together a mariners’ career on the Great Lakes,and present it in printed form to a relative,as a gift. Is the best place to start the Union in that area? This fellow worked out of Duluth,Mn. Is that the Seafarers Union, or what? I dont know what the initial classifications were, but He retired apparently,as a Helmsman.Thank you for your help!
I am updating this post. I contacted the Seafarers International,and they sent me an email directing me to the National Maritime Center,and the information I needed to know.
