# What is the outlook for Transocean in 2019?

It should probably read; we were forced to invest in **safer** , higher quality and lower cost wells for our customers.

The outlook for Transocean was bleak after Carl Icahn bled it dryin November 2013:

And nothing indicates it has gotten any better.
