Probably not a Bakelite steering wheel either.
Wikipedia is saying that the first modern 3 point seat belt was patented by a pair of Americans in 1955. Bohlin was issued a US patent for his belt system in 1959. Can’t really see how the two systems are different, looking at the patent drawings.
