Capt Doug and I lashed up the Sunmar Sea on the hip in 1985 or 86 and towed them to the dock in Sand Pt. Alaska. They were having problems with the CPP and were awaiting parts. We got them up to about 10+ kts which was more then their top speed.
My crew was a bit scruffy compared to them and we thought the Sunmar crew was a tad on the snobby side so we enjoyed towing them. We might have been struttin’ on deck a little but I think it was justified
