What is happening in 2012 to the hawspipe program, I’ve heard that they are changing it that you must go to a 4 year school is this true that they are getting rid of hawspipers?
No!!! The USCG actually made it easier! Now you don’t need as many classes as you did before. The change applies to 500/1600/ and third mate unlimited licenses.
Look at the Houston Marine website under newsletters and it explains it all.
Not really sure but when I graduated almost 10 years ago they were saying the same thing.
Look it up!! It’s been approved!!
