# T-Boat Annual Inspection Required for domestic only? Where is CFR reg requiring ann?

Hi

Newby here, poring over the CFR’s and I can find nothing requiring an annual inspection for T-Boats that operate only domestically.

What I find is the opposite - i.e. only 5-year inspections required unless operating internationally

The boat had historically had annual inspections but missed due to owner’s poor health and management changes. I am hearing horror stories that we will have to start from scratch on COI due to missing annual and possibly face big fines.
