Hi,do you guys think it is worth it for a green os to get stcw cert? Thinking of doing la job search for GOM jobs, I was told from someone that you would get higher day rate if you had STCW.
I have TWIC and MMC but no maritime exp,not holding my breath for ECO or HOS to hire me but do all boat companies basically pay all green os the same day rate with or without STCW training.

you earn or get $10 more a day, with some companies
I would get it…considering most companies won’t give you an application without it.
