I’ve been out of the maritime industry for more than 5 years. In that time, I’ve learned that I belong on the water. My merchant mariner document has expired & I’m in the process of renewing both my MMC & TWIC. Looks like I’m going to start at the bottom, as I will need to get my PIC endorsement back separately. In order to transition back into the marine world, I’ll need to make at least $650/week. Does anybody know if I can make that kind of money as an OS working on a tug or crew boat 14/14 or 21/21?
