Singapore’s Hawker Culture has now been added to Unesco Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity:
So that oblige the Government to protect the Hawkers from being out competed by foreign Fast Food chains and ensure that their skills are brought on to the next generation.
It also means that Singaporeans have to continue patronizing the Hawker Centres and not complain all the time about the prices and remind everybody that; “before MUCH cheaper what!!! A bowl of mee only 10 cent meh!”
