Sean to Merge with Developing Storm Friday and Saturday over Gulf of St. Lawrence

Thursday Evening 10 Nov. 2011
TS Sean with max winds of 55kts is now accelerating towards the northeast and will likely start to weaken shortly. Over the next 24-36 hours, Sean is expected to be absorbed by a cold front approaching from the west.
The moisture and energy from Sean, however, will enhance a developing low along the coast of Maine and help deepen it into a storm low over the Gulf of St. Lawrence by Friday night and into a hurricane force storm as it moves northward into the Labrador Sea during Saturday.
