Lotsa warships (& USN saildrones) off Cuban coast.

Interesting Colregs conundrum
… all those saildrones around so much traffic and near a TSS…
… at least if one of them is rammed & sunk, we can have a test case!

My first ship (Spring 1959):


Training ship “Sørlandet”, blt. 1927

PS> She was the last of the world’s “Tall ships” to get an engine. When I was onboard she still did not have a propulsion engine (Installed late 1959)

The 1800s were the the “Age of White Sails” in Norway:

The podcast (in English) linked here tells stories from that era, which may be of interest to those into maritime history.

One of the ships from that era was the Stratford, with homeport Arendal.
Stratford, built in Williamsburg, USA in 1850 as the full-rigger ARCTIC:

Visited her in 1978 during operation sail in Oslo. I was on Dar Pomorza then as cadet. Got some guides and collected her ship stamp. In tall ships class A Gorsch Fock won. Great time.
