# Question about obtaining the MMD, concerning an old misdemeanor

Hi all,

I’m in the process of filling out the application for the MMD and I’m wondering if an old conviction for underage alcohol possession (when I was 20, I am now 26), is something that would keep me from being able to obtain the document… I don’t have any other criminal history or convictions, just that one charge from my past. If I attach a statement to my application explaining the charge do you think that would suffice? Or is that one charge grounds for denial? I don’t have problems with alcohol, just a mistake when I was young. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.
