VARD has secured a contract for design and construction of five Walk-to-work vessels with an international customer, which will be put to service for offshore oil and gas platforms:

Length of approximately 88 meters and a beam of about 19,8 meters.

3D active motion compensated crane with capacity of 15t SWL at 30m.
Workshops and warehouse facilities for onboard fabrication and maintenance work.
Very high all-year operability due to built-in post failure redundancy in power and propulsion plant.
The battery hybrid DC-power plant with 2700 kWh battery capacity provides excellent flexibility, and superior fuel efficiency.
The vessel accommodates 190 people in a comfortable modern environment.

She started off as on of Bourbon Offshore’s “Liberty 100-class” PSVs, (GPA 654 design):
The original name was “Bourbon Liberty 121”, built in China in 2010.
When Bourbon Offshore hit on hard times during the crisis in 2016> she got laid up, together with dozens of other Bourbon vessels.
She was reported sold en block for US$ 4 mill. in April 2020, together with Liberty 105 and Liberty 116. but sale was reported to have fallen through in May same year.Re-appeared as INYANGA ENTSHA in June 2021, still as PSV.
Sold to the Norwegian company Beitveit Holding and converted to de-lousing vessel for the fish farming industry in Norway and Scotland.
