Why do 90% of the TSA @ the airport have to act like complete assholes…??? Im actually thinking of asking to be put on the no fly list. Oh, and when they say dont make fun of them, they mean it. I asked this TOOL this morning what it was like to be 50 years old making 25k a year breaking balls for no reason, can someone explain how these people got these jobs…???
And now that they are all Union there is little or no chance of getting one of them Fired!!!

Its the only way that a person who is unemployable anywhere else (except maybe Walmart and McDonald’s) can get a badge and the power to push people around and demand a little bit of transitory psuedo-respect.
95% of our our super expensive and vexatious new post 911 “security lifestyle” is a complete waste of time and money — that is nothing more than an opportunity for the politically well connected to make a lot of money bilking the taxpayers for low quality and unnecessary services.
You must be talking about Lockheed Martin marvelous TWIC card program. I wonder how many millions they have mad from mariners for a high end flash pass. I am guessing the even make mor on cased readers that will not work in the field but only in the lab as the first ones worked.
There are too many government agencies with too many similar ID programs that all require the same fingerprints, background checks, and interviews — over and over again.
There is absolutely nothing in the TWIC Card program that is not already covered in the MMC program. The MMC should contain all the information that is in the TWIC and it could be read by the same machines that are already in use to read US Passports. Even better, the TWIC and MMC could just be endorsements to a regular US Passport, or a Passport Card.
If there is going to be a TWIC program, it should be administered by the people who require it, the USCG, and processed at the USCG REC’s. The only truck drivers that need a TWIC are the ones who drive onto docks. They could get their TWIC’s at USCG REC’s, or they could just go without a TWIC and have longshoremen with TWICs escort them on the docks. The USCG is the only logical processor of TWIC Cards.
Before the government cuts 15,000 school teachers on military bases, and Whitehouse tours, they should cut the completely useless TWIC program.
If there is going to be a TWIC Card issued by the effing TSA, the effing TSA should be required to accept it at airports for their TSA Pre-Check program. If mariners are going to have to waste all this time, money, and energy, getting these TWIC cards from the effing TSA, the effing TSA should be required to give us the pre-screened “Known Traveler” respect that the TWIC Card says we should be entitled to.
